Possible frequently asked questions:

What would happen if someone tried to remix some of the songs of your artists and music producers?

- Ask them for permission first, in case they don't respond ask the staff (direct message or email) if there would be a possibility, they will give you a strong answer from the artists (from their representatives) and music producers as well as the refusal. In any case of a refusal a justification will be given (of course if it is not given then ask for it), in case of asking for the cause then you are allowed to explain yourself in one message, causing problems that do not lead to a resolution in that one message will cause the rejection of the request in turn causing the immediate rejection of the request.

Can I distribute them myself?

- You can as long as you ask for permission, in case of commercialisation an agreement must be made involving e.g. profit sharing.

Can I even participate in the albums to be released with a remix made by me?

- It depends on who you ask (the artist through his representative, directly to the music producer or to the label's staff). Even more so if you respect the dates and are up to date with the updates to sign up in any of the ways we announce it.

Can I claim remixes of my work?

- Yes, as long as you can attach proof that they did it together with your terms of use, obviously when the release of an album arrives, any attempt to claim will be dismissed so as not to aggravate the situation, only after the release you can claim (e.g. the distribution of profits).

I am an art artist and I want to claim that they copied my album cover art (example).

- If the announcement of a new release falls into these categories then you can always do so as long as you attach proof (portfolio and dates) before the release itself. We will immediately assist in cancelling the release along with a monetary compensation according to the seriousness of the matter.

I have a record label and I want advice, will you give it to me?

- No, not at the moment. We are always in service, we don't give lessons if it doesn't come from above to authorize tutorials, in case of doubts be attentive to the updates.

Guidelines to identify:

Soundtrack releases could penalise those who redistribute to other platforms if it is not taken for granted that they could be linked to an Album or Single, applies to re-releases as well. The artists and music producers have the final decision on how much the DMCA will affect them, nothing will ensure that a person who has unknowingly redistributed the music can be penalised by a Strike on the YouTube platform or a ban on TikTok, for example.

Rhythm games:

We are entitled to terminate the mapping in rhythm games in case of unauthorised free distribution of audio files as well as the accompanying interfaces or designs in the area of customisation in rhythm games. Here is the list and conditions of use and distribution of our material in such games.

  •  osu! : forbidden for distribution both in gameplays and in their mapping forums (unless some of our artists and music producers allow it both as free distribution and also if they are in the Featured Artists program of the game, which would override this prohibition).
  •  BeatSaber : forbidden for distribution both in gameplays and showcases (unless permission or commission has been requested from the artists and music producers of the record label)
  •  A Dance of Fire and Ice (a.k.a. ADOFAI) : forbidden for distribution in both gameplays and showcases of the maps (unless the artists and/or music producers allow it both as free distribution and on commission to them).
  •  Geometry Dash : forbidden for distribution both gameplays and hosting of the files on the Newgrounds servers (unless the artists and/or music producers allow it both as free distribution and on commission to them).
